Giucy Giuce

Giuseppe Ribaudo—aka Giucy Giuce—transformed his grandmother's Sicilian sewing legacy into a modern quilting phenomenon. This self-proclaimed "modern traditionalist" reimagines classic blocks with geometric precision, vibrant color narratives, and a theatrical flair that bridges Broadway and the cutting mat. From intricate foundation paper piecing to story-driven fabric collections like the true-crime-inspired Gnarls Hollow Trilogy and the gothic-romance Enrapture, his work proves quilting can be both meticulously crafted and wildly imaginative. Now based in Queens and designing with FreeSpirit Fabrics, Giuseppe continues teaching quilters to trust their intuition while mastering the art of paper piecing—proving that Sicilian precision and creative boldness make the perfect stitch.
