Collection: Playgrounds by Amarilys Henderson

Having worked commercially as a watercolor artist, painting and play have always been intertwined - until they became less so. I had painted so many subjects that I needed an outlet. And so, while client projects dried, I'd wander onto scrap papers and boards to unwind. What I now call "watercolor playgrounds" quickly became a regular creative practice.

Creating forms with loose watercolor bleeds, painting organic shapes, and playing with movement lit my heart! It's like mounting building blocks in layers of color. It feels like touching a place my imagination paints. And the final look echoes back to me: there is more. Vibrant colors mingle to become is a watercolor playground - ready to jump into! This art feels so true to me, and I am so proud to have it as my debut as a Moda Designer!
