Poppin’ Posies is a fun, fat quarter-friendly pattern that’s sure to make you smile. With video tutorials included, I walk you through making the flower and checkered blocks. 

I have loved a good checkered block since I began quilting. Maybe it’s because my father is a big Nascar fan and I’ve always been around checkered flags, or maybe because they’re simple, fun and easy to sew. I’ve wanted to incorporate a checkered block into one of my patterns, and the time came once I designed the posies block for Poppin’ Posies. 

This pattern is a fun and easy make for the confident beginner in mind. The drunkard’s path blocks are designed to have some wiggle room for trimming, so even if you’ve never sewn a curved block before you can execute one.
