Dropcloth Samplers - The Original's Sequel

The Original's Sequel Sampler - This sampler is a sequel to the original. It includes fifteen new stitches! If you've mastered the basics of embroidery, you're ready to move on to this one, which includes turkey work, needle weaving, two color chain stitch and more! I think you'll love it.

The sampler arrives pre-printed on cotton quilting fabric, ready to stitch and includes basic instructions. You provide your own threads, needles, and hoop.

PLEASE NOTE: This item is not embroidered, but ready to be embroidered by YOU. The pictures show one way to fill in the design, but you can choose whatever colors/threads you like.

What size is it?

This Sampler measures approximately 11" x 12".

What thread should I use?

We use a combination of size 8 perle cotton and/or embroidery floss.

How should I back my sampler?

For best results, I recommend backing this fabric with a second piece of fabric (cotton or linen) before placing your fabric in the hoop. You'll get the flattest, most even stitches this way. Check out the how-to for this step on Creativebug or IGTV (@dropcloth)

What size hoops should I use?

I like a size 6—but use whatever you hoop you have on hand.
