The Star Bright pattern is designed just for novelty fabrics and fabric panels!
Special Features:
- It’s large center blocks (8” finished) allow you to show off your favorite novelty prints. All in a setting of sawtooth stars.
- Finished Quilt measures approx. 64" x 64" and is a great size for a lap quilt or a baby quilt.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner.
Supplies Required
*yardages are rounded up to the next highest 1/4 yard)
Background Fabric: 2 1/2 yards
Accent Fabric: 1/2 yard
Sawtooth Star Block Center Fabric: 1/2 yard (note: each center square is cut to 8 1/2” x 8 1/2”, if you’d like to fussy cut your center squares, you may need additional fabric).
On my quilt, I used 2 different prints for my centers and used 1/4 yard of each.
Sawtooth Star Points Fabric: 1 yard - you can mix and match prints if you like. However I recommend keeping all of the prints the same color. I used 1/2 yard each of 2 different prints of teal color fabric.
Alternate Blocks Fabrics: 2 yards total OR 8 Fat Quarters of Fabric: I have 8 different blocks, sewn from 8 different prints of fabric. I bought 1/4 yard of each print of fabric (8 one quarter yard cuts = 2 yards total). Binding Fabric: 1/2 Yard
Backing Fabric: 4 yards
