Taking cues from four of Wright's masterful designs from Wright's long career, we envisioned these four notables by extracting key elements of the abstractions. The skylight from Wright's f irst studio space in Chicago has been broken apart to create a pixelated rectilinear pattern. An intricate stained glass from Wright's first project in California becomes a bold, triangular repeat. A delicate triangular motif and fields of color were borrowed from Wright's rug patterns of the Imperial Hotel, his first project in Japan. A large, complex rug Wright designed just 2 years before his death is made up of concentric intersecting circles that have been flattened into a circular maze.
